Anthropology and Murder

Anthropologist Elliot Leyton takes a close look at how cultural forces influence the mentality of a human and shape their capability to murder. Some of these studies look closely at cannibalism, genocide and cultural conventions. In some mountain societies, cannibalism is considered accepted if trespassing on property is involved.

According to historians, the Aztecs considered cannibalism as part of their rituals and traditions. Sacrifices to the Gods were considered as part of their
religious traditions to help in agriculture, climate and weather conditions and other basic natural influences.

Forensic Psychologists study the psychological process of a criminal. Some specialize in Anthropological murder which determines how the individual or group acted out these crimes.
